Bouw Botje is an MCP (Model Context Protocol) connection between Exact Online Bouw — the construction-industry edition of Exact Online accounting software — and AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Google Gemini, Mistral, Perplexity, Grok, Cursor and OpenClaw.

It lets users in Dutch construction businesses (aannemers, installateurs, infra/GWW companies, subcontractors/freelancers) operate their full project administration through natural language: ask about project status, log labour hours, generate instalment invoices (with VAT reverse-charge), manage subcontractors, and order materials — all from inside a chat interface.

## FAQ (selected highlights)

**Does Bouw Botje work with VAT reverse-charge (BTW-verlegging)?**
Yes. For instalments and invoices to main contractors where VAT reverse-charge applies, Bouw Botje follows the VAT codes and settings configured in Exact Online Bouw. The AI automatically uses the correct code per invoice line — no need to configure twice.

**Can I work from the construction site?**
Yes. Because Bouw Botje runs through an AI assistant (ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot on phone), users log hours, query project status, or order material directly from the site — no separate Exact app needed.

**Does Bouw Botje work with bill of quantities (RAW-bestek, GWW)?**
Bouw Botje works with the calculation and work-part structure in Exact Online Bouw. If a tender specification has been mapped to work parts, the AI can query quantities, log hours against them, and generate instalments based on executed m/m²/m³ or units.

**Is the project data safe?**
OAuth2 authentication of Exact Online. All traffic encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Servers in Europe. Write access optional. Connection revocable at any time. Mirrored data deleted within 30 days of cancellation.

**Can subscriptions be cancelled?**
Yes, at any time. Downgrading takes effect at the end of the billing period; cancellation immediately stops billing and removes the connection within 30 days.

**Which Exact Online API permissions does Bouw Botje request?**
Standard read scopes for projects, calculations, hours, invoices, accounts, subscriptions. Write scopes (for Advanced plan) for creating instalments, hour entries, and purchase orders. The user grants permission via OAuth2 consent screen.
