Bouw Botje is built with security as a priority.

OAuth 2.1 with PKCE

Your AI assistant signs in to Bouw Botje via OAuth 2.1 with PKCE. PKCE prevents token interception, even on public clients.

HTTPS/TLS encryption

All data traffic between your AI assistant and the MCP server is encrypted via HTTPS. Your Exact Online Construction API key is stored encrypted.

Tokens expire automatically

Access tokens are valid for 1 hour and are automatically refreshed. When revoked, access is terminated immediately.

Dedicated database in Europe

Bouw Botje synchronises your data to a dedicated, isolated database per administration on servers in Europe. What you share in the chat is subject to the terms of your AI provider.

Read-only by default

The API key applies to your whole organisation. That is why the AI can only read by default; you enable write access per user in Bouw Botje (Advanced). Without write permission, write tools are hidden.

Revoke connection anytime

Remove the connection in Bouw Botje, or generate a new API key in Exact Online Construction: the old key stops working immediately.
